At SPavlou Taekwondo, we are passionate about providing high-quality Taekwondo instruction to students of all skill levels. That’s why we offer an advanced Taekwondo course designed for students who have been practicing Taekwondo for several years and are ready to take their abilities to the next level. Oh, and did we mention that our advanced students will represent SPavlou Taekwondo at some of the country’s top Taekwondo competitions? Our students compete up to National Level. In fact, one of our classmates won the 1992 Olympic Gold Medal!

Challenging Curriculum
In our advanced class, students are expected to push themselves. We will focus on more challenging moves, memorize new terminology, master self defense skills, and perfect your forms. But let us make one thing clear – we don’t expect students to ace these tricky techniques on their first try. At our school, instructors foster a classroom setting that prioritizes gradual and careful growth. With every new move, technique is king. SPavlou Taekwondo teaches Taekwondo in a way that protects students from injury and emphasizes individual responsibility.
Building on the Basics
While you may be learning fancy new techniques, that doesn’t mean you’ll be getting away from the basics any time soon. In fact, our advanced students probably spend more time perfecting those seemingly “simple” moves more than anyone else. Our school believes that as students advance in ability, they must constantly strengthen their foundational skills. No matter how amazing your roundhouse kick may be, there is always room for improvement! Not to mention, by constantly refreshing yourself on the most fundamental moves of Taekwondo, you build important muscle memory – something that could save your life!
Competitions and Tournaments
At SPavlou Taekwondo, we don’t compete to win shiny trophies or gain recognition. Instead, we compete in order to provide our students with the highest level of training possible. Competitions and tournaments offer martial artists the opportunity to put their skills to the test, learn from other martial artists, and fine-tune their performance. We’ve found that competitions push our students to set goals for themselves, encourage them to put more effort into their sparring sessions, and get them excited!
A Team Like No Other
When you become a member of our advanced Taekwondo class, you become a part of a tight-knit team. Our advanced students train together, travel together, and compete together. We believe that community is the pillar of the martial arts industry, and our advanced students embody this principle through the way they encourage each other and help one another reach their athletic goals.
